Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking a Data Engineer for a global financial services client in Belfast. You’ll design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines and data estates, collaborating with Power BI analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders.

You’ll work with Microsoft Fabric, integrating diverse data sources, and manage the full journey from ingestion to usable datasets. The role emphasizes data quality, governance and clear documentation to enable trusted analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Strong SQL, Python and database skills.
• Experience building ETL or ELT pipelines using dbt Cloud, Azure Data Factory or Fabric Pipelines.
• Hands-on cloud experience across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with an understanding of financial data.

Joining its Data & Analytics function, you’ll design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines and infrastructure, working closely with Power BI analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders.

The role offers exposure to Microsoft Fabric, varied data sources and the full journey from ingestion through to trusted, usable datasets.
