Job summary

Intact Insurance is seeking a Cyber Engineer within the Cyber Engineering function to support operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of security controls and platforms. You’ll collaborate with CISO, CIO teams and DevOps to ensure protection aligns with policy and standards.

You will review changes, maintain tooling coverage and assist in incident response, while following defined procedures and security frameworks. Hybrid working and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of cyber security principles.
• Awareness of security controls across endpoint, network, identity, cloud and data protection.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure and technology environments.
• Ability to follow defined procedures, standards and operational processes.
• Awareness of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001 or equivalent control frameworks.
• Developing understanding of risk, control effectiveness, vulnerability management and secure configuration principles.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of security controls, platforms and services across the Cyber Operations and Engineering function.
• Assist engineers and specialists in reviewing changes against security standards and policies.
• Help maintain coverage and operational hygiene of security tooling and processes.
• Contribute to investigation, analysis and remediation of security issues, escalating where guidance is required.
• Support production and maintenance of service documentation and control evidence.
