Braintree District Council is seeking an ICT Security Analyst in Braintree. This full-time, permanent role focuses on protecting the Council’s systems and data, monitoring security, and coordinating cyber incident response.

The role requires hands-on security work and collaboration across teams, including training and awareness for staff and councillors. The post sits within Essex County Council’s support and aligns with ITIL processes, offering hybrid working with office presence and on-call

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification in Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing security technologies such as firewalls, IDS, antivirus, authentication, log management and content filtering.
• Good understanding of network and operating system security.

Responsabilités

• Be the first point of contact for ICT security issues and coordinate cyber security response.
• Deliver excellent communications and customer service to all users.
• Keep cyber security documentation and incident response procedures up to date.
• Support ITIL/change management processes and provide clear guidance to users.
