Job summary

Braintree District Council is inviting applications for an ICT Security Analyst to defend our digital infrastructure and respond to cyber threats. Based in Braintree, Essex, this role covers security monitoring, incident response and collaboration with partners, with responsibilities spanning Microsoft 365 administration and ITIL-change processes.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 5 qualification in Cyber Security (or equivalent experience) and have experience managing security

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 5 qualification in Cyber Security or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience managing and supporting security technologies with understanding of network and OS security.
• Able to communicate technical risks clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, identify threats, respond to incidents and document procedures.
• Design, implement and monitor security measures across systems and networks.
• Deliver cyber security awareness and training to staff and councillors.
• Contribute to Microsoft 365 administration, infrastructure updates and network monitoring.
