Job summary

Braintree District Council requires an ICT Security Analyst to join its ICT Team and protect the Council’s systems, networks and information from evolving cyber threats. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our cyber security response, acting as the first point of contact for ICT security issues.

You will monitor security systems, design, implement and maintain security measures, keep cyber security documentation up to date, support regular testing and help deliver practical cyber security

Qualifications

• Level 5 Cyber Security qualification or equivalent.
• Experience managing and supporting security technologies (firewalls, IDS, etc.).
• Ability to communicate technical risks clearly and succinctly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and respond to threats.
• Identify, investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Design, implement, maintain and monitor security measures across systems and networks.
• Keep cyber security documentation and incident response procedures up to date and support testing.
• Deliver cyber security awareness and training for employees and Councillors.
