Job summary

Vix Technology in Manchester is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing global security team. You'll gain exposure to vulnerability management, governance, incident response and security operations across our international customers.

You'll work from our Manchester office three days a week, collaborate with teams in the UK, France and the USA, and help protect public transport networks worldwide while building a broad foundation in security practice.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cyber security or IT experience.
• Understanding of vulnerability management, security risk, secure configuration and incident response.
• Organised, collaborative and able to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Experience or exposure to AWS or cloud security fundamentals; ISO 27001, NIST or CIS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Analyse vulnerabilities and help engineering teams prioritise remediation.
• Produce customer‑facing security reports and support audits.
• Contribute to security bids and collaborate with engineering, cloud and IT to embed security best practice.
• Translate technical information into practical advice and improve security management.
