Job summary

Premier Foods, based in Manchester City Centre with hybrid working, invites applications for a Credit Risk Analyst. The role focuses on balancing commercial opportunities with risk controls to protect cash flow and support growth.

You will assess credit risk across a diverse customer base, provide data-driven recommendations and collaborate with Finance, Credit & Collections and Commercial teams to drive informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Risk, Credit Underwriting or Commercial Credit environments.
• Strong financial analysis of balance sheets, P&L and cash flow.
• Ability to assess customer creditworthiness and manage credit exposure.
• Understanding of credit risk principles and working capital management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Confidence communicating recommendations to stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and commercial judgement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor and manage customer credit risk across Accounts Receivable portfolio.
• Provide insights to support robust, well-governed credit decisions.
• Review financial statements, payment performance and credit agency reports.
• Recommend credit limits, terms and risk classifications.
• Maintain credit data, documentation and audit trails in line with governance.
• Support credit risk reporting and portfolio reviews.
• Escalate emerging risks and issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Credit & Collections and Commercial teams to balance growth with risk management.
