Job summary

LGBT Great in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team on a 6‑month fixed term contract with hybrid working from our Birmingham office.

Key responsibilities include chasing payments within terms, handling client inquiries, producing monthly statements and reports, and supporting Sales Ledger with discrepancies. Prior credit control and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control experience is essential.
• Experience of working within an accounts function would be necessary.
• Good interpersonal skills to ensure effective team working.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience with Excel.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or a similar ERP system is highly desirable.
• Minimum of GCSE Grade “5” or “C” in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Chase all clients for payment within agreed terms.
• Interact with clients in a polite, efficient manner.
• Resolve client queries to satisfaction.
• Prepare monthly Credit Control reports for the finance committee.
• Attend monthly Credit Control meetings with the line manager.
• Advise Sales Ledger on discrepancies.
• Monitor unapplied payments.
• Produce client monthly statements.
