Job summary

Wolseley, a leading specialist trade merchant in the UK and Ireland, invites applications for a Credit Controller based in Warwick. You will manage a ledger of around 2,000 customer accounts and drive debt recovery through phone and email, while achieving cash collection targets and maintaining customer relationships.

The role is full-time with hybrid working arrangement (office 3 days, home 2 days) after probation, offering competitive benefits and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Confident and professional communication, strong telephone manner.
• Good computer literacy, including Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP).
• Credit control experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a ledger of ~2,000 customer accounts and proactively collect outstanding debt by phone and email.
• Achieve monthly cash collection targets, overdue cash, and 180-day debt targets with solid account performance.
• Resolve customer queries by liaising with internal branches and account managers for timely solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support debt recovery.
