EG Group's Cumberland Farms in Horwich is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our Transaction Shared Service Centre. You’ll manage a portfolio of customer accounts, chase overdue payments and help maximise cash collection in line with agreed terms.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in credit control, strong Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems. The role offers hybrid working, a discretionary bonus, generous leave and career progression within a global organisation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable.
• Strong understanding of credit management and debt collection.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data.
• Confident communication and relationship-building with customers.
• Proactive approach to follow-ups and issue escalation.
• Excellent organisation and time management; able to prioritise deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.

Responsabilités

• Monitor new customer account set-up and review credit limits.
• Proactively chase outstanding debt and maintain collections records.
• Review and analyse aged debt and escalate high-risk accounts.
• Maintain security records and update ERP systems.
• Support resolution of customer queries with internal teams.
• Prepare monthly debtor reconciliations and bad debt provisions.
• Initiate legal action when required and support projects.
