Job summary

Aviva's Commercial & Outsourcing Legal Team is seeking a qualified solicitor or legal executive for Legal Counsel - Commercial & Outsourcing. You will advise on supplier, technology and outsourcing contracts, help develop contract standards and support strategic initiatives across Procurement, Risk, Data Protection and Information Security.

You’ll work on high-profile technology and AI-related engagements, with professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualified solicitor or legal executive with strong experience advising on and negotiating commercial contracts.
Experience supporting technology-related contracts, such as outsourcing, software, SaaS, cloud, data and AI arrangements.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify practical, commercially effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence to influence stakeholders.
Commercially pragmatic and able to work independently, while knowing when to escalate risks.

Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance on supplier, technology and outsourcing agreements.
Develop contract standards and streamline legal processes.
Collaborate with Procurement, Risk, Data Protection and Information Security teams.
Support high-profile projects including AI-related engagements.
