Job summary

Keoghs in Southampton is seeking an experienced Costs Negotiator to join the Costs team within the Complex Injury Division. You will manage costs matters arising from high-value EL, PL and RTA claims, handling both fixed recoverable costs and hourly-rate work.

The role offers hybrid working, a varied caseload, and opportunities to develop technical expertise through complex, high-value cases while collaborating with colleagues across the wider team.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing Points of Dispute and considering replies.
• Experience progressing matters towards provisional and detailed assessment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous client liaison experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, assess and negotiate costs claims.
• Prepare Points of Dispute and replies.
• Progress cases through provisional and detailed assessment.
• Draft costs budgets and related reports.
• Conduct costs budget negotiations and set strategy.
• Maintain cost strategy reports throughout a case life.
• Provide clear advice and updates to clients.
• Negotiate favorable outcomes for clients.
