Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED is recruiting a Cost Manager in Birmingham on a hybrid basis. The role supports the Head of Cost and Estimating at a Programme and Contract level, managing budgets, actual costs, forecasts and EVM to aid project delivery.

The candidate will verify cost performance, produce performance reports, and support cost control processes across the project’s lifecycle. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management or project controls within a major project lifecycle.
• Experience in producing performance reports including EVM, forecasts, and budgets.
• Experience in using cost management systems including Prism and EcoSys.
• Experience in baseline maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change and risk reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and verify contract level cost performance, ensuring data reflects Programme performance for reporting.

Cost Manager | Birmingham | Hybrid | £65,514 - £72,000 + Benefits

For the largest and most exciting transport projects in Europe, we are recruiting a Cost Manager to support the Head of Cost and Estimating at a Programme and Contract level. This role will support the management of budgets, actual costs, forecasts, and Earned Valie Management (EVM) to support the delivery of the overall project.

Main Duties

• Analyse and verify contract level cost performance, ensuring data reflects Programme performance for reporting
• Validation and communication of cost performance data submitted by delivery teams to Programme
• Assist development of contract level performance reports including Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasted costs, and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
• Support the Head of Cost with team adherence to cost performance processes and procedures
• Provide technical support to the Project Controls Managers on cost performance, and work closely with the supply chain to develop defined work-streams to enhance cost performance

Person Specification

• Experience in cost management or project controls within a major project lifecycle
• Experience in managing and producing performance reports including EVM, forecasts, and budgets
• Experience in using cost management systems including Prism, and EcoSys
• Experience in core project controls including baseline maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change and risk management, and performance reporting.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts including NEC, amendments, early warning notices, and workflows
