Job summary

Investec in the UK is seeking a driven Sales Associate for Corporate Banking to originate and develop new-to-bank clients across the UK, acting as the bridge between business development and credit functions.

You will build relationships with privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, support onboarding, review opportunities, and coordinate with risk, relationship management and product teams to move engagements to completion.

Responsibilities

• Driving new business origination directly with target customers within the working capital market
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities with privately owned and entrepreneurial organisations
• Building, onboarding and maintaining introducer relationships with Regional Sales Directors
• Conducting initial engagement with prospective clients and introducers, developing strong relationships
• Completing first-line evaluation of opportunities, including reviewing financial information and background research
• Managing opportunities through underwriting process, ensuring submissions are accurate and high quality
• Working closely with Risk, Relationship Management and wider Corporate Banking teams to support onboarding and identify opportunities across the Investec product suite
• Managing sales administration and ensuring documentation is completed through to client completion
