Samuel Frank Associates Ltd is recruiting a Controls Engineer for a rapidly growing Cheshire-based systems integrator. You’ll work on a wide range of projects including heavy industry, marine, manufacturing, energy storage, and metal processing plants.

The role combines office/remote days with some site work, and offers a clear career path in an innovative environment. You’ll design software and electrical concepts and participate in FATs/SATs as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience designing software for PLC/SCADA/HMI and variable speed drives.
• Knowledge of electrical/controls concept design and safety specifications.
• FATs and SATs execution experience.

Responsibilities

• Software design for PLC, HMI, SCADA, robots or drives.
• Electrical/controls concept design including safety specifications and diagrams.
• Produce Functional Design Specifications and device layouts.
• Contribute to safety standards and CMSE/TUV considerations where applicable.
• Hybrid working pattern with office and home-based days; occasional site work.
• Mentor and progress within a defined career path.
• Collaborate with commissioning/installation teams to support successful project delivery.
