Job summary

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is recruiting a Business Support Manager on an initial 3-month contract at £28.68/hour PAYE, with hybrid working. The role focuses on contract and vendor management, policy implementation, and service development within IT governance.

The successful candidate will lead a team, manage supplier performance, ensure compliance with ITIL principles, and collaborate with senior management to optimize procurement and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent IT/procurement experience.
• Postgraduate study or professional development in IT/health services is desirable.
• ITIL Practitioner level training and service management exposure is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data protection and information governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of contractor and vendor management processes.
• Set objectives with Head of Digital Governance and implement, monitor progress.
• Line manage the Business Support Administrator.
• Monitor all contracts to meet compliance objectives.
• Oversee policy implementation, service development and training related to contracts.
• Manage financials of contracts to meet targets.
• Benchmark performance and drive improvement with suppliers.
