Job summary

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an Information Governance Manager for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of £28.06/hour PAYE. This role will be hybrid working.

Responsibilities include providing a Data Protection service, supporting FOI requests, assisting with data protection compliance to minimise risk, and advising staff on responding to information requests.

Qualifications

• Diploma level or equivalent.
• Significant knowledge of data protection legislation and confidentiality requirements.
• Formal training in relevant disciplines.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work across professional boundaries and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide Data Protection service and keep policies up to date.
• Support day-to-day management of FOI requests.
• Assist with compliance with Data Protection legislation to minimise risk.
• Advise staff on responding to information requests and rights under Data Protection laws.
• Coordinate implementation of standards for FOI, records management and data protection.
