Job summary

DC Thomson’s Social History Archive is seeking a Content Operations Executive to help researchers, educators and students access high-quality digital content. You will support from concept to publication, curate historical collections and ensure metadata quality, collaborating with licensing, marketing and product teams.

You’ll work on editorial content, blog posts and pages, while maintaining rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in history, heritage, humanities or academic research
• Experience in copywriting, copyediting or content production
• Experience with academic or editorial content workflows
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with metadata standards, digital archives or academic publishing workflows
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines
• Experience working with academics, licensing partners and product/marketing teams
• Fluent in English
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Postgraduate qualification in History or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of content projects from concept through to publication
• Research and curate thematic historical collections
• Create, edit and upload content using our CMS
• Review and improve metadata for accuracy and discoverability
• Perform quality assurance to maintain editorial standards
• Write and edit blog posts, landing pages and supporting content
• Monitor and report content performance trends
• Maintain content workflows and documentation
• Collaborate with product, licensing and marketing teams
• Support editorial partnerships, internships and academic engagement activities
