Job summary

DC Thomson’s Social History Archive seeks a Content Operations Executive to help bring historical content to researchers, educators and students worldwide. You will support content projects from concept to publication, curate thematic collections, and ensure metadata quality across CMS workflows.

The role involves writing editorial content, collaborating with licensing, marketing and product teams, and engaging with academic partners to expand dissemination.

Qualifications

• Interest in history, heritage, humanities or academic research
• Experience in copywriting, copyediting or content production
• Experience with academic or editorial content workflows
• Fluent in English
• Eligible to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Researching and helping curate thematic historical collections
• Creating, editing and uploading content using content management systems
• Reviewing and improving metadata to ensure accuracy and discoverability
• Carrying out quality assurance checks to maintain academic and editorial standards
• Writing and editing blog posts, landing pages and supporting content
• Monitoring and reporting on content performance trends
• Maintaining content workflows and operational documentation
• Collaborating with product, licensing and marketing colleagues on content projects
• Supporting editorial partnerships, internships and wider academic engagement activities
