Job summary

Aon’s UK Construction team is seeking a Construction Broker/Account Handler to manage bespoke construction client insurance needs from Liverpool or Manchester. You'll deliver high-level service and technical advice to a portfolio of clients and work in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities include preparing market presentations, negotiating terms, arranging meetings with clients and underwriters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and spotting revenue opportunities while collaborating with broking

Qualifications

In-depth understanding of construction insurance and its specialist marketplace.
Phenomenal communication skills for collaborating with clients and underwriters.
First class IT, data and Excel skills with a close eye for detail.
Organised, motivated and with a thirst for knowledge.
Ability to build strong client relationships and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Piecing together and preparing market presentations to broke clients’ enquiries to insurers.
Negotiate policy terms for clients.
Attend and arrange meetings with clients, underwriters and colleagues.
Complying with regulatory and other standards and drafting bespoke slip wording.
Identifying revenue development opportunities on allocated client accounts.
Liaising with broking colleagues in Construction, Commercial Risk and the wider network.
Accurate updating and reporting from spreadsheets.
