Job summary

PD&MS Group is seeking a Commercial Manager in Grangemouth on a full-time, employee basis. The role provides leadership across Estimating, Cost Management, Planning and Commercial functions, ensuring compliance with client and company processes and Delegation of Authority across the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant subject or equivalent.
• Significant, demonstrable experience in Project Planning, Estimating and Cost Control.
• Understanding interfaces between engineering disciplines, project management and construction.
• Significant experience in the use of planning software.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in managing and developing others.
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the contract Document Control, Estimating, Cost, and Planning personnel.
• Co-ordinate and escalate all commercial and contractual matters for review and approval.
• Identify, mitigate, manage and control risks in respect of delivery of services and initiate change as required.
• Prepare and implement contract processes in alignment with standards.
• Gather and applying project controls best practices and lessons learned.
• Review schedule reports for accuracy and work with the team to mitigate issues.
• Ensure estimates meet structure, accuracy, and approvals.
• Report monthly to Functional Management.
• Implement and monitor corrective actions to meet KPI targets.
• Operate as contract gatekeeper for full compliance with delegation of authority rules.
• Lead cross-functional communications and meetings.
• Oversee Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures, streamline bureaucracy.
• Contribute to recruitment and performance management.
• Demonstrate objective setting and ongoing development.
• Adhere to the integrated management system and QHSE principles.
