Job summary

Motus Legal Recruitment represents a leading regional law firm seeking a Commercial & IP Solicitor with 3-7 years’ PQE to join a growing team across Hampshire, Surrey and Thames Valley. You will advise on commercial and IP matters, including drafting and negotiating complex supplier, distribution and licensing agreements, tech contracts, IP protection and licensing, and brand

Qualifications

• 3-7 years' PQE, from a Legal 500/Chambers-ranked firm or a top in-house team.
• Strong, well-rounded commercial law knowledge across a broad portfolio of contracts.
• Experience in IP (or willingness to develop) including protection, licensing or IP aspects of transactions.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Strong client-facing skills and a proactive, commercially-focused mindset.
• Open to commercial lawyers moving into IP or IP specialists broadening into commercial work.

Responsibilities

• Advise across a broad range of commercial and IP matters with emphasis on key areas.
• Drafting and negotiating supply, distribution and licensing agreements.
• Technology and software contracts, and high-value service agreements.
• IP protection, licensing and brand strategy; IP considerations within transactions.
• Work with clients in technology, software, manufacturing, retail and other sectors, with growing cross-border exposure.
