Job summary

Motus is seeking a Commercial & IP Associate or Senior Associate (3–7 PQE) in Hampshire, Surrey and Thames Valley with flexible, hybrid working. This role offers varied, high-quality work for household-name brands and innovative tech companies within a collaborative regional firm.

You will draft and negotiate supply, distribution and licensing agreements, manage technology contracts and IP licensing aspects, and contribute to IP strategy within cross-border transactions.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years' PQE at a top firm or high-quality in-house team.
• Broad knowledge of commercial contracts.
• Interest in IP or eagerness to develop IP expertise.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate supply, distribution and licensing agreements.
• Handle technology and software contracts and high-value service agreements.
• Advise on IP protection, licensing and brand strategy.
• Consider IP within broader commercial transactions.
• Support cross-border work across technology, software, retail and manufacturing sectors.
