Job summary

ESG in Chorley seeks a proactive Cloud Support Engineer to support both private datacentres and cloud-native platforms. You will help deploy, monitor and secure our SaaS infrastructure, working across VMware/Nutanix, Windows and Linux servers, and containerised workloads.

You will also contribute to automation, incident response and project delivery, collaborating with vendors and internal teams in a hybrid working model with initial in-office training.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer/IT related discipline.
• Desirable AWS/Azure/Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux, 2nd line or higher.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure infrastructure across private datacentres and public clouds using automation.
• Support customer hosted environments and monitor uptime SLAs.
• Apply security hardening and patching across hosted systems.
• Maintain virtualised platforms, storage, servers and networks.
• Create clear technical documentation and status reports.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on projects.
