Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to drive major change across IT and OT. You will design artefacts, define roadmaps, and create reusable patterns while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

The role focuses on secure, scalable architectures across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, with flexible First options and a strong emphasis on delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in either a design or infrastructure implementation role.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and hybrid deployments.
• Understanding of TOGAF or Zachman frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and business-focused approach to requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce architecture artefacts for BAU and project changes across multiple business areas.
• Define and maintain technology roadmaps aligned to IT strategy.
• Create reference architectures and reusable infrastructure service designs.
• Translate requirements into secure, scalable architecture solutions.
