Job summary

Accenture in the United Kingdom (Birmingham) is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong automation and cloud experience. The role is hybrid, based in Birmingham with four days in the office. The successful candidate will drive DevOps/toolchain implementations, oversee CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform preferred), and Azure/AWS cloud services.

Qualifications

Deep technical know-how and hands-on experience implementing automated DevOps toolchains.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code; Terraform preferred.
Experience with code repositories, CI/CD, and automated deployment using Ansible, Jenkins, and Git; Docker/Kubernetes knowledge a plus.
Experience in DevSecOps including secret management and privilege control.
Azure or AWS Associate-level cloud certification.
Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud services (compute, networking, storage, security).
Strong ability to design and implement continuous delivery and DevOps in cloud-native and hybrid environments.
Experience in automating build, delivery, and release to ensure reliability and repeatability.
Ability to define and manage the DevOps roadmap in an established environment.
Knowledge of ITSM practices and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
Proficiency in Power BI for deployment metrics and cloud cost trend dashboards.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple DevOps projects within the cloud capability team.
Oversee tools and processes in the DevOps toolchain and promote DevOps culture.
Assist clients with DevOps projects with technical, consultative and delivery support.
Provide objective, practical advice to optimize DevOps initiatives.
Collaborate with development teams to meet acceptance criteria and drive CI/CD and IaC efforts.
Set up and manage development/test environments and software configuration management.
Drive client adoption of DevOps practices and toolsets.
Resolve issues and pursue necessary training on latest technologies.
