Job summary

Accenture in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our cloud capability team. You will oversee the DevOps toolchain, promote DevOps practices across client engagements, and deliver automation across multiple projects.

The role requires Solaris/Linux/Windows experience, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and strong ITSM knowledge. You will also design CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC, and support on-call operations with a focus on reliability and security.

Qualifications

Experience with Solaris/Linux/Windows server environments.
Strong automation and IaC experience using tooling like Terraform.
CI/CD with Ansible, Jenkins, and Git, plus knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant, Ivy, UrbanCode is advantageous.
DevSecOps mindset including secret management and security integration.
Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS) and hands-on cloud tech in compute/network/storage.
Ability to design and operate CI/CD and IaC across hybrid environments.
Experience with ITSM processes and ServiceNow.
Proficiency in Power BI for dashboards is a plus.
On-call support and client-focused advisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee the implementation and operation of the DevOps toolchain across multiple projects.
Promote DevOps culture and provide automation and consulting services to clients.
Lead CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure-as-code efforts for cloud offerings.
Set up development/test environments and manage software configuration across the lifecycle.
Guide clients in adopting DevOps practices and tools, ensuring reliability and security.
Resolve issues, escalate when needed, and pursue ongoing training and certifications.
