Job summary

Verelogic is recruiting a Client Manager (Accountant) in Waterlooville, Hampshire. You will manage your own client portfolio, lead a small team of accountants and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality service.

The role focuses on statutory accounts, tax returns and advisory services for diverse clients, with hybrid working and clear progression opportunities within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• ACCA, ACA or equivalent fully qualified accountant.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients.
• Ability to independently prepare and review statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Dext and FreeAgent.

Responsibilities

• Manage statutory accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies.
• Lead a portfolio of clients and supervise a small accounting team.
• Review work by junior staff and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide technical guidance and CPD to the team.
• Build strong relationships with clients via phone, email and meetings.
• Onboard new clients and support their transition into the business.
• Advise clients on tax planning and tax efficiency.
• Provide business advisory support including cash flow forecasting, budgeting and pricing guidance.
• Maintain records and liaise with HMRC/Companies House.
