Job summary

Verelogic is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a client portfolio, prepare statutory accounts and tax returns, and provide advisory support. The role combines a rigorous accounting practice with mentorship of junior staff, in a hybrid office setting.

With 5+ years in practice and UK tax knowledge, you will optimise client outcomes, liaise with HMRC, and contribute to CPD through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have membership of a recognised professional body (AAT, ATT, ACCA or ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Strong knowledge of UK taxation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit statutory accounts and tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Ltd Companies.
• Manage your own portfolio of clients and provide a high standard of service.
• Review work by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Build and maintain client relationships through regular communication.
• Onboard new clients and support accounting/compliance transitions.
• Advise on tax planning and tax efficiency and provide business advisory support.
