Job summary

National Highways in Warrington is recruiting a Claims Handler for our Network Claims team on a hybrid basis. You will manage a portfolio of cases from logging to resolution, monitor SLAs and push for timely outcomes.

The role requires strong negotiation, client management, and IT skills (Word/Excel). Experience in insurance claims is desirable. You will collaborate with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and internal departments to support our customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling claims within an insurance/claims environment is desirable.
• Excellent negotiating and client management skills.
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills.
• Previous experience in office administration and competent IT skills; particularly Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of claims from logging to resolution.
• Proactively monitor progress in line with SLAs to ensure timely resolution.
• Assess evidence and investigate claims to defend our position or establish fault.
• Negotiate with third party insurers and loss adjusters for best settlements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including departments, contractors, insurers, solicitors and claimants.
