Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a talented Civil Engineer for a flexible role across key regional offices in the UK. You will contribute to exciting building design and infrastructure projects with a focus on delivering sustainable and innovative engineering solutions. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and an understanding of UK design standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering preferred or HND with equivalent experience.
• Working towards ICE Chartership.
• Previous experience in the buildings sector preferred.

Job Title: Hybrid Civil Engineer (Multiple UK Locations)
Contract Type: Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extensions
Locations: Flexible - Opportunities available across Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, and Birmingham

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a talented Civil Engineer to join one of the UK's leading engineering consultancies on a temporary basis. This is a flexible location role with options to be based in any of the client's key regional offices across the UK, offering the benefit of a hybrid working model.

The successful candidate will work on a wide range of exciting and complex building design and infrastructure projects, contributing to national and international schemes. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering practical, sustainable, and innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of small to medium infrastructure and building design projects.
• Design in accordance with UK codes and standards (including drainage, utilities, access roads, pavements, and logistics)
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines and regions.
• Comply with BIM standards and contribute to the Digital Plan of Work
• Manage your own workload effectively within project timelines.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or HND with equivalent experience
• Working towards ICE Chartership
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (Revit/BIM 360 experience desirable)
• Understanding of UK design standards
• Previous experience in the buildings sector preferred.
