Job summary

Armstrong Watson is recruiting a Business Services Director or Partner to join the Carlisle office. The role focuses on client relationship management, portfolio leadership and driving growth within the business services practice.

You will oversee fee setting, performance management and staff development, while building a network that generates new client opportunities and supports recruitment and people initiatives.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Qualified Accountant with ICAS, ICAEW or ACCA.
• Experience in preparing statutory and non-statutory accounts for various entities under UK GAAP.
• Solid knowledge of UK taxes (Personal, Corporation, VAT, Capital Taxes).
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to develop staff and refer opportunities across service lines.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and act as Relationship Manager for allocated portfolio.
• Raising and approving fees for own portfolio.
• Set objectives for direct reports and monitor progress and development.
• Monitor performance against objectives and KPIs; provide feedback to Business Services Partner.
• Sign off documents, accounts and returns where legally permissible.
• Develop network to generate new business opportunities.
• Assist with recruitment and manage People-related matters.
