Qualifications

• Have at least one year’s post-qualification experience or breadth of knowledge matching this role
• Hold or be working towards MRICS status
• Experience working within interdisciplinary project teams
• Demonstrate excellent core building surveying and project management skills
• Excellent client interface skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Team Leaders and clients, presenting schemes, managing timelines and ensuring seamless delivery.
• Take the lead as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent across multiple building projects with standard forms and full project responsibility.
• Conduct site visits and produce comprehensive inspection reports.
• Deliver initial appraisals and feasibility studies to guide client decisions.
• Carry out measured surveys of existing buildings and sites with accuracy.
• Develop and present outline design proposals, including budget estimates.
• Prepare comprehensive scheme designs for client approval.
• Produce full working drawings to enable construction.
• Manage statutory approvals (Planning, Listed Building Consent and Building Control).
• Draft specifications, schedules of work and assist with bills of quantities.
• Lead the tender process, analyse bids, and compile tender reports.
• Prepare and manage contract documentation following best practice and verification strategies.
• Develop maintenance manuals and provide ongoing support for completed projects.
• Deliver professional services including Party Wall procedures and condition reports.
