Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting a Building Safety Levy Officer for a Local Authority in Ealing.The role is 35 hours per week, 3-month contract with hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days remote).

Based in Ealing, you will administer the new Building Safety Levy, handle invoices, payments and records, and liaise with Planning, Finance and Building Control teams to ensure compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or operational role, preferably within a local authority or public sector environment.
• Knowledge of financial processes including invoicing, payment tracking and reconciliation.
• Understanding of planning, building control or regulatory processes.
• Experience working within established procedures, guidance and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage data accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across different teams.

Responsibilities

• Assessing levy liability and chargeability for developments
• Issuing levy determinations, notices, invoices and payment certificates
• Monitoring, recording and reconciling payments
• Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records
• Responding to enquiries from developers and stakeholders
• Supporting audit, compliance and reporting activities
• Working closely with Planning, Finance and Building Control teams to ensure effective service delivery
