Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Bookkeeper for an established accountancy and tax advisory firm in Henley on Thames, offering hybrid work. You will manage daily bookkeeping in Xero, post wages journals, and prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or equivalent and experienced with VAT/CIS returns, liaising with clients, and training on Xero. The role is commutable to Henley.

Qualifications

• Daily bookkeeping in Xero accounting software.
• Posting monthly wages journals.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• VAT returns (monthly/quarterly).
• CIS returns submission.

Responsibilities

• Preparing & filing monthly / quarterly VAT returns
• Preparing and filing monthly CIS returns
• Liaising with clients on queries and submissions
• Providing training to clients on Xero
• Reconciliations of control accounts
