Job summary

Talent Finder is seeking a Bookkeeper in Oldham, Lancashire, to support a high-revenue VIP client. The role focuses on payroll processing, VAT, bank reconciliations, and regular reporting using Xero and cloud tools. The position is office-based with occasional work-from-home days.

The successful candidate will have strong Xero experience, familiarity with Hubdoc/Dext, and solid MS Office skills, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Salary is £30,000–£32,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge and experience of Xero and related cloud tools.
• Experience with VAT returns and submissions to HMRC.
• Experience with payroll journals and payroll processing.
• Experience carrying out bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience preparing financial reports for management review.

Responsibilities

• Post payroll journals to clients’ bookkeeping software.
• Respond to Xero and bookkeeping questions and resolve issues.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and process expenses/mileage claims.
• Process sales and purchase invoices and prepare financial reports.
• Assist with VAT returns and submissions to HMRC.
• Prepare periodic reports for management review.
