Fred Perry is seeking a data engineer to lead the development and optimisation of our BI infrastructure. You will consolidate data from core systems into a single view to support strategic decision-making.

You will own data pipelines, warehouse schemas and semantic models, with a focus on quality, governance and agile delivery. The role combines office-based collaboration in London with flexible remote work.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data engineering with ETL/ELT and cloud data platforms.
• Deep knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and Kimball principles.
• Advanced SQL/T-SQL with optimization and debugging.
• Proficiency in Python or PySpark for data manipulation.
• Experience integrating data from APIs, databases and files.
• Experience with data quality, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience building semantic models using Power BI or SSAS.
• Hands-on BI tool experience, preferably Power BI, in an Agile environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to a cloud Data Warehouse (Microsoft Fabric).
• Own reliability, monitoring and performance of data pipelines and data quality improvements.
• Design and maintain data warehouse structures within a medallion architecture.
• Integrate internal and external data sources via APIs, databases and files.
• Work across the Data Delivery Lifecycle – Define, Design, Develop & Deploy.
• Document solutions per Data & Analysis standards and governance policies.
• Support BI Manager and analysts with data engineering, architecture and modelling best practices.
• Upskill the BI team and promote consistent data/BI practices across the organisation.
