Job summary

Barnardo's is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our national charity's Business Development team. You will manage proposals to commissioners and partners across the UK, applying commercial and interpersonal skills to shape services for children, young people and families.

You will lead bids, develop new services, monitor market intelligence, and manage risks, while working with colleagues in Children's Services.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
• Proven ability to manage large volumes of information and develop compelling tenders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of bids and tenders.
• Collaborate with Barnardo's teams to produce compelling proposals for commissioners and partners.
• Monitor market intelligence and assess commercial and contract risks.
• Support service design and development of new services in priority growth areas.
• Work with operational colleagues in Children's Services and travel as needed (UK-wide).
