Job summary

Barnardo's is recruiting into a Business Development role to lead proposals and tenders across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and national partners. You will collaborate with teams to craft compelling bids, manage deadlines, and build strong business cases that support services for children, young people and families.

You will be a strong writer, able to analyse large volumes of information and articulate ideas clearly. The role offers flexible working with travel across regions as needed.

Qualifications

• You will need to be a good writer, communicating ideas effectively on paper with an ability to analyse large volumes of information to develop clear and compelling responses to tenders.
• It is critical that you can build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of proposals and service design.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of proposals and tenders, leading the development and delivery of bids to deadlines.
• Ensure strong business cases and bids that underpin successful outcomes.
• Help develop new services and innovations in priority growth areas; monitor market intelligence and assess commercial and contract risks.
• Work alongside operational colleagues in Children's Services to support proposals and service design.
• Demonstrate commitment to Barnardo's mission and manage projects with enthusiasm and learning.
