Job summary

Envisage Group in Coventry is hiring a commercially driven Business Development Manager to win new business, develop customer relationships and support expansion into aerospace and defence sectors. The role spans capabilities in design, engineering, prototyping and manufacturing.

You'll work with technical and commercial teams to turn opportunities into successful projects, and build OEM/partner relationships while shaping proposals and quotations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development or technical sales within engineering or manufacturing.
• Evidence of securing new business and growing existing customer accounts.
• Engineering-related qualification.
• Ability to understand technical capabilities and explain value to customers.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
• Strong commercial judgement with pricing and margins.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new opportunities across markets.
• Grow current accounts by building relationships with new contacts and teams.
• Develop relationships with OEMs, primes and supply-chain partners.
• Understand customers' technical requirements and shape proposals.
• Build and manage a qualified opportunity pipeline with accurate CRM forecasts.
• Support bids, proposals and commercial discussions.
• Represent Envisage at meetings, events and exhibitions.
• Track progress against targets and bid outcomes.
