Job summary

Datacareers is seeking an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage and improve a Microsoft cloud environment in a hybrid home/Oxford setup. The role focuses on hands-on Azure infrastructure, governance, automation and supporting a cloud-first delivery approach.

The successful candidate will have practical experience with Azure tenants, subscriptions, and resources, including Entra ID and Conditional Access, and will work as a senior escalation point across Azure services.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience managing Azure tenants, subscriptions, resource groups and resources.
• Knowledge of Entra ID / hybrid identity and CA policies.
• Experience with Azure Automation Runbooks and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure tenants, subscriptions, resource groups and resources.
• Configure and improve Azure infrastructure services including VMs, storage, networking, DNS and load balancing.
• Support governance, access control, security and cost management principles.
• Act as a senior technical specialist across Azure and Microsoft cloud services.
• Design, implement and support secure, scalable Azure cloud solutions.
• Configure and improve Entra ID, hybrid identity and CA policies.
• Develop and maintain Azure Automation Runbooks and PowerShell scripts.
• Support modernization of legacy infrastructure into cloud-first services.
• Provide technical guidance and documentation.
