Job summary

Unknown is seeking an Audit Senior to deliver audits from planning to completion, liaising with managers and senior staff, and mentoring junior team members. The role is hybrid in Liverpool and involves ensuring high-quality work and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA or equivalent, with solid IFRS/FRS knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with CaseWare and CCH. Relevant audit practice experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant: ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
• Proven audit experience in practice with knowledge of quality and regulatory standards.
• Experience in risk assessment and controls within audits.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and leading small teams.
• Up-to-date with IFRS/FRS auditing standards and technical knowledge.
• Experience with CaseWare and CCH is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site audits from planning to completion with clear deadlines.
• Ensure audit quality and regulatory compliance across engagements.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and provide feedback.
• Prepare on-site audit findings reports highlighting risks and issues.
• Build strong client relationships and maintain effective communication.
• Collaborate across service lines to enhance client experience.
• Support team development and knowledge sharing.
• Pursue learning opportunities to maximise cross-team collaboration.
