The role requires ACA or ACCA, strong auditing knowledge, and leadership of audit teams. It offers hybrid working post‑probation, a salary £55,000–£75,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients, leading engagements from planning through to completion.
• Deliver audits efficiently and on schedule, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
• Lead audit planning and completion meetings, while developing and empowering senior team members to assume greater responsibility.
• Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong, long-term professional relationships.
• Identify and escalate technical and commercial matters to the RI, recommending practical solutions.
• Oversee audit resource allocation, proactively highlighting resourcing requirements and potential challenges to the RI.
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to audit team members throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Review audit files and working papers to a consistently high standard prior to RI review.
• Review statutory financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of team members, delivering training and driving continuous improvement across the audit function.
