Job summary

Our client in the Horsham area is a well established accountancy practice seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audits from planning to completion and to strengthen client relationships.

The role requires ACA/ACCA or equivalent, strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, and excellent communication and leadership to mentor junior staff in a hybrid working environment. Salary range £60,000–£70,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Experience auditing within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Review and finalise audit reports with insights and recommendations.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and support development.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Keep up to date with changes in auditing regulations and standards.
