Job summary

Space 8 Recruitment Ltd on behalf of a Coventry-based client seeks an Audit Manager to lead a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality audits. You will plan, manage and review audits, review statutory accounts, and monitor profitability and billing while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires ACA/ACCA, 4–5 years PQE, and strong UK tax/accounting knowledge. Hybrid working with 2 days at home and 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, salary up to £65k.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Approximately 4-5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounts and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Audit experience, including planning and reviewing audit assignments.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, charities and other clients, acting as primary point of contact.
• Plan, manage and review audit assignments.
• Review statutory accounts prepared under UK accounting frameworks.
• Monitor portfolio profitability, work-in-progress and billing.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.
