Penguin Recruitment is supporting a leading planning and development consultancy in Bristol to hire an experienced Associate Town Planner. The role requires a relevant degree in town planning, RTPI accreditation or working towards chartership, and significant post‑qualification experience managing planning applications and appeals.

You will develop planning strategies, liaise with communities and authorities, and contribute to projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• RTPI accredited or working towards chartership.
• Significant post-qualification experience in planning.
• Strong knowledge of the planning process and systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement planning strategies and policies for UK projects.
• Manage planning applications and appeals in line with local policies.
• Carry out site visits, feasibility studies and impact assessments.
• Liaise with local communities, businesses and government agencies.
