Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is working with a leading multidisciplinary property consultancy to recruit an Assistant Town Planner in Bristol. The role involves preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting pre-application submissions, with hands-on experience across a diverse project portfolio.

The successful candidate will join an established team, develop technical knowledge, and have opportunities to progress toward MRTPI accreditation, while benefiting from hybrid working and

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or related subject.
• MRTPI qualified or close to.
• Some planning experience is desirable, although strong graduates will be considered.
• Good understanding of the UK planning system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and coordinating planning applications.
• Supporting pre-application submissions and planning advice.
• Undertaking planning research and appraisals.
• Liaising with clients, planning officers, consultants and stakeholders.
• Attending site visits and project meetings.
• Supporting senior colleagues across a varied project portfolio.
