Job summary

Babcock in Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of highly classified defence programmes. You will work with Project Managers, Programme Managers and engineering teams to help ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

This permanent, full-time role is 37 hours per week with hybrid working (3–4 days onsite). A SC/DV clearance is required, and PFQ/PMQ qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a project management or project delivery environment.
• Collaborating effectively with a range of stakeholders and functional teams.
• Demonstrating initiative, enthusiasm and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Working to challenging deadlines, project plans and delivery schedules.
• Supporting the successful delivery of projects within a complex operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting project planning, scheduling and delivery activities across multiple workstreams.
• Managing project controls including cost tracking, reporting and performance monitoring.
• Coordinating risk management, procurement activities and project documentation.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers and multidisciplinary teams to maintain project momentum.
• Driving the successful achievement of project milestones, objectives and deliverables.
