Job summary

Seasalt is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser for a 12-month temporary contract in Cornwall. You will support the Merchandiser with range planning, forecasting, and trade analysis while maintaining the Critical Path and ensuring timely, accurate data across all channels.

You will contribute to price modelling, line card management and seasonal reporting, partnering with the Assistant Buyer and wider product team. The role is based at our Cornwall head office with flexible hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a merchandising function.
• Experience managing line cards.
• Experience of range planning.
• MS Office experience – Excel with formulas.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to work closely with key stakeholders.
• Able to work numerically, analyse and report data.
• Effective communication.
• Well organised with prioritisation.
• Experience in retail would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collate information for the Range Plan for all sales channels and ensure timely submission for roll ups.
• Assist with line level forecasting based on historical sales.
• Follow the Critical Path and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Collaborate with the Merchandiser to understand commitments, sales, markdowns and open-to-buy.
• Identify blocks of product to inform forecasting and recommendations for new orders and rephasing.
• Ensure purchase orders reflect required commitment, sizing and intake dates.
• Assess channel performance and suggest actions to maximise sales.
• Create price change models (markdowns/promotions) under supervision.
• Build and update seasonal reports with the Merchandiser.
• Provide information on commitment, intake phasing, margin and sales history for Range Plans.
