Job summary

FRP Advisory Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Restructuring Advisory team in Manchester. You will work across advisory and formal engagements, including pre-lend reviews and short-term cash flow analyses, while managing a portfolio of insolvency cases with senior oversight.

You will support case progression, ensure compliance with insolvency legislation, and contribute to planning, strategy and execution, mentoring junior staff as needed in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on insolvency or restructuring assignments in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures.
• Excellent written and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Excel with strong core maths skills.
• Collaborative team player with ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial information including management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Comment on unusual trends or variances and their causes by understanding operations.
• Review forecast financial models and assumptions used in planning.
• Support management of insolvency portfolios including administrations, CVLs, WUCs, CVAs and BKYs.
• Assist with case progression and ensure compliance with insolvency legislation.
• Draft and review high-quality reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, legal advisers and accountants.
• Collaborate with other FRP teams where cross-pillar expertise is needed.
